so what is medallion mission?

Great question! Medallion Mission is the ultimate, outdoor, treasure hunt. If you love scavenger hunts, escape rooms, solving puzzles, riddles, and clues, then Medallion Mission is for you! Can I work with another person or in groups?

Yes! There are no requirements on how many people can work together. We just encourage each individual to purchase their own ticket if not living in the same household.

Where does the money from ticket sales go?

Over 90% of ticket sales goes to Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital with funds directly supporting the Hematology/Oncology Clinic. The remaining will cover expenses related to creating, advertising, and web hosting.

Is there any chance or luck involved?

No, finding the medallion depends solely on your ability to interpret and solve the riddles and clues, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and persistence.

What happens if I am Certain that I have found the location of the medallion but it is not there?

There is a possibility that the medallion might be inadvertently discovered during the event by someone who is not participating. If you are confident that you have located what should be the medallion's resting place, send us a picture of the exact location. If you are correct and can walk us through how you solved each riddle, you will receive the reward. This will result in the end of the event. There will be no additional reward even if the medallion is brought forward at a later date.

What happens if someone accidentally finds the medallion but is not participating in the event? Can they turn in the medallion and get the reward?

To ensure the integrity of the event, anyone who discovers the medallion must demonstrate their process by explaining how they solved each riddle and clue. Once the solution is validated by Medallion Mission, the finder(s) of the medallion will receive the reward.

How will you send out clues and where is my password?

Clues will be hosted on a password protected page, labeled “Riddles”, on our website. Your password to access the riddles will be located in your “Ticket Is Ready” email that you will receive after ticket purchase.

How will you prevent people from sharing the riddles with those who haven’t purchased tickets?

Unfortunately, we cannot control whether participants share riddles. We encourage you to invite family and friends to join the event by purchasing their own tickets. The more tickets that are sold, the higher the reward will be as well as the charitable contribution to this year’s sponsored child, Hudson Roberts.

What does the medallion look like?

The medallion will be a custom-made piece that is similar in size to a silver dollar piece. An image of the medallion is at the bottom of this page.

Can I buy a ticket after the hunt has started?

Yes, you can purchase a ticket after the event has begun. Since riddles are released weekly, you will have time to find the medallion!

How difficult are the riddles?

The riddles are designed to be challenging but not impossible. This will hopefully prevent the medallion from being found too quickly, thus maintaining the fun and excitement of the hunt for all participants.

What if the medallion is never found?

The hunt is designed to be a fun yet challenging experience that ultimately leads to a reward for the finder(s) of the medallion. If no one has found the medallion after the release of all of the riddles, additional clues and hints will be released each week thereafter to help locate the medallion.

What if i don’t want to play but want to make a donation?

We have a donation page setup just for this reason! 100% of your donation will go directly to Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital.
